In November 2015, she attended the World Wide College of Auctioneering (WWCA) in Mason City, IA, where she graduated. With the knowledge that she has gained and the guidance from her family, she is now a 5th generation auctioneer. Liz received two Degrees in Auctioneering and one in Bilingual Auctioneering in Spanish, being among the first women to achieve the degree. During her time there, she trained with the champions! She increased her knowledge in an abundance of fields, such as auction law, appraisals, auction marketing, real estate, and market patterns. Liz has performed every task there is in the auction industry, from clerking, ring man, auctioneer, set up, marketing merchandise, and internet cataloging of items, all while working with the buyers and sellers. That’s to name a few!

After graduation from WWCA, she has worked with her father, Steve Espey, and has branched out to create a name for herself with her own company, Hunt Auctions & Land.

On December 8, 2016, Liz had the privilege of selling for the Guinness World Record Auction, “Most Nationalities in an Auction Team at an Auction (Single Venue).” She represented the Cherokee Indian Nation during this event! Along with one for “Most Female Auctioneers in a Single Auction Team.” On top of being a part of a Guinness World Record Auction, she also competed as a contestant on the CBS daytime Reality TV show, The Amazing Race, on Season 29! Where she had the opportunity to participate in another Guinness World Record in Alesund, Norway, for the “World’s Largest Bonfire for 2016”. Liz used her skills as an Auctioneer to help her in the race! All while selling in 12 countries around the world during the show.

“I traveled all over the world and got to do some pretty amazing and unforgettable challenges on the show! It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!”
                                                  -Liz

When she is not calling an auction, she has a rewarding career in the aerodynamics and aerospace industry, where she uses her background of 15 years in mechanical engineering for EkoStinger and manages 14 states in the Midwest territory of the United States, based out of Ithaca, New York.

With 25+ years of experience under her belt combined with her father’s 45+ years of experience specializing in real estate, farm machinery, antiques, benefits, construction equipment, personal property, and much more! There is nothing she can’t handle with a combined amount of 70+ years of experience!
